About Me

My journey did not start with journalism.  When I came to college I thought I had it all figured out.  I wanted to become a pediatrician, then soon realized that being a doctor was not where my heart was.  At a young age, I began to love fashion.  I watched America’s Next Top Model like it was my religion and learned a lot about the fashion world.  Fashion Journalism is what I love, but I can do it all, whether it is radio or photography.  Writing came as a second nature to me because my mom was a writer as well and she taught me everything she knew.

I grew up in a penny-sized town called Coffeeville, Mississippi, where not everyone makes it out.  I made it my mission to not be one of those people.  When I finally found my purpose at the University of Mississippi, where I am now a senior, I knew that being a journalist is what I wanted to do for the long run.
